Iranian Defense Minister Arrives in Baku

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations in the security and defense fields, as well as to exchange views on regional developments and ways to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as neighboring countries, have emphasized the importance of dialogue and constructive engagement to ensure lasting security in the region.

According to the announced program, Iran’s defense minister is scheduled to meet and hold talks with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A formal meeting with Azerbaijan’s defense minister is also among the main items on the agenda.

Expanding bilateral defense cooperation, reviewing the latest regional developments, and underscoring the role of regional cooperation in strengthening peace, stability, and mutual confidence are among the key topics expected to be discussed during these meetings.
